Today a little slow, so I thought I’d start something new on my blog. I am a big RSS fan (subscribing to people’s blogs) and wanted to share some of my recent “good reads”.

Want to know more about RSS? Here’s some basic info:

To subscribe to someone’s blog (or a website that has a blog) you can easily use Google Reader. Sign in or create a google account. Then you just hit “Add a Subscription” and enter the website url. No need to find the feed url or anything. Often times, blogs will have a RSS icon, like this:  , that you can click on and will allow you to subscribe via google or other readers.

A reader such as Google Reader, takes all the websites and blogs you subscribe to and puts it into one place for you to read. Some, such as Google, even allows you to categorize them.

Some of my favorite apps and stuff…

If you use iGoogle, you can have your reader right there in a widget. It is convenient to make your iGoogle your homepage so you can have all your favorite things right there (facebook, twitter, RSS Feeds, etc.)  

My favorite reader app for iDevices is Pulse . You can enter your favorite blogs, or even search to find some new ones. And the app has a clean and modern look, with smooth functionality.

For Chrome users, you might want to check out NewsSquares, it’s a web app and chrome extension that makes reading your RSS feeds fun and pretty. I love that you can use your Google Reader account with it.

Hi faithful readers and visitors! I thought I should at least post an update for you! I’m almost done with my re-design and just need to finish up the pages and such. Then I need to get back to my regular posting! We’ve been so busy and getting over stomach bugs and everything else life brings, I haven’t had any time to even think about posting!

If you were subscribed to my feeds or have me on your blogroll, you will need to resubscribe or update the feed. I lost all my subscribers and blogrolls aren’t updating, since it’s the same feed address, and even though I redirected in blogspot and feedburner, it didn’t work for some reason. Sorry! Passing the word on that would be great! I’m sad I lost my subscribers!

Other news…my husband interviewed for a job with a great company, BluefishTV. They are supposed to call by today to let us know if they want to continue in the interview process with him. So we’re praying and waiting!

The little one is upset and it’s lunch time, so off I go about my day!

Well if you are viewing my blog through Internet Explorer you are probably not seeing a lot that is supposed to be there… My sidebars and top navigation bar is missing in Internet Explorer and possibly safari. In Firefox and Flock it looks perfect. It is frustrating me and I think I am going to go to bed and figure it out later. Sorry for the mess here but thanks for stopping by!

Well I’m making some progress on my new blog design! I am loving wordpress!
Unfortunately it seems I lost a ton of subscribers on feedburner during the switch I hope it finds them again!
I’ve got to get to bed- I’ll have to work some more on my blog tomorrow!

Well this has been fun

You may have noticed my site was down, sorry about that! I’ve been in the process of transferring my domain and moving to wordpress, that part is finally over! I had intended on having no downtime and leaving the old one up before I put up the new one but when transferring my domain, that didn’t happen.  I think I have gotten all my old links redirected to the new links.

Anyway, please excuse the mess. The layout will be changing and new links and pages will be coming! Thank you faithful readers!
